A review on classification methods for functional data
M. Febrero Bande, J. Álvarez Liébana, M. Oviedo de la Fuente
Classification methods for functional data can be categorized in three main approaches: those derived from regression models, those employing depths and distances and those adapted from multivariate techniques (typically applied to a finite subspace). In this work, a review on classification methods is performed paying special attention to multiclass problems with unbalanced categories.
